Bob Isaacs has delighted dancers across the US and Europe for many years
with his clear teaching and spirited calling. Whether Bob is calling flowing contras,
hot squares, or his famous grid squares and zias, dancers are sure to enjoy
a dance that is different and fun. A prolific contra choreographer;
his creative dances are called throughout the world.
Tempest blends traditional tunes with inventive, progressive grooves and harmonies
that draw from jazz, world music, and pop/R&B. Originally formed in 2009 by
Tim Ball and Chuck Abell as a contra dance band, their repertoire has expanded
to include jazz standards, blues, folk songs, Irish fiddle tunes, and more.
