Cross Point Methodist Camp
Kingston, OK (North shore of Lake Texoma)
Fri-Mon, Dec. 27 - 30, 2002

This all-volunteer event is a 3-day/3-night weekend for callers, dancers and musicians in the region to enjoy each other's talents and company and get away from it all. The focus is contra dance & related music. Everyone has the opportunity to help provide the entertainment for this 3-day party, which begins Friday at 8pm and ends Monday with lunch. I encourage you to attend the full three days. The bigger the crowd, the bigger the fun and the extra day allows for more variety of activities or more free time for naps, walks, socializing or just that much more dancing and jamming.

Musicians can jam, play for dancing (in various band configurations) and lead workshops in tunes or techniques. Callers and others can lead a dance session (contras, squares, Eng. Country, couple dances, etc.) a song session, or an activity for kids (if enough kids attend). Anyone can sign up for the talent show held one of the evenings, or just dance. The content of the schedule depends upon the volunteer talent and suggestions made by attendees. See registration form.

Cross Point Methodist Camp lies on the North Shore of Lake Texoma, just two hours from Dallas or Oklahoma City. It features a lovely dance hall that doubles as dining hall, with a beautiful wood floor, lots of large windows and great atmosphere. All meals are provided by the camp staff and are included in the registration cost. Lodging is in bunkhouse cabins, with four bunk beds and one single bed in each of the two rooms flanking the bath. (We hope to limit the maximum occupancy of each side to 5 persons, 10 per cabin). There are also several motels near by if you'd prefer them. See the list below.

COST: (MUST REGISTER BY DEC 17. ADD $10 TO THE FEE AFTER DEC 1)
The cost is $100 for 3 nights or $75 for 2 nights, which includes bunkhouse accommodations and all meals starting with the evening meal of your first night, ending with lunch on your final day. Or the meals-only price of $77/$55 respectively for those who prefer to sleep off-site. Children ages 1-7 are half price. Infants less than one year of age get in free. The age/price policy is set by Cross Point camp. On-site tent and RV space and prices are also available.

Registrants will receive a confirmation letter a few weeks prior to the event which will provide more schedule information and recommendations of what to bring, confirm your cabin request, provide maps and directions to the camp. If many small children are coming, I'll try to let all the parents know the total numbers and ages.

PRE-REGISTRATION BY DEC 17 IS REQUIRED
NO DROP-INS ALLOWED

You must pre-register to attend due to limited dance floor and bunk space.
Cancellation Policy: You will receive a full refund if you notify the registrar, Mimi Rogers, by December 17th, 50% after that date. In case the event itself is cancelled, (heaven forbid!), all but a $5 deposit will be refunded.
